But perhaps the uppermost emotion is one of pity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n With a few honorable exceptions, it is such a pity that the American people are misled by\u00a0such buffoons. It is such a pity that the American and Russian people\u00a0\u2014 who have so much in\u00a0common as\u00a0human beings\u00a0\u2014 are nevertheless being driven towards\u00a0a state of\u00a0war by\u00a0these buffoonish politicians.<\/p>\n Senator Rand Paul, like\u00a0his father Ron, is an honorable exception.<\/p>\n Paul was in\u00a0Russia last week offering a hand of\u00a0peace and dialogue.<\/p>\n Back home, however, the Congress is dominated by\u00a0Democrat and Republican war-makers, not lawmakers, who harbor such irrational bitterness towards\u00a0Russia. They are clamoring for\u00a0war with\u00a0their ludicrous sanctions against\u00a0Moscow.<\/p>\n Frankly, the United States does not have a government. It is a regime.<\/p>\n What else can we call it when the interests and needs of\u00a0the vast majority of\u00a0the nation are not served. A president, Donald Trump, was elected in\u00a0part because he pledged to\u00a0normalize relations with\u00a0Russia.<\/p>\n But instead the political elites and unelected powers-that-be over-ride the popular mandate, to\u00a0impose their agenda of\u00a0belligerence.<\/p>\n So much for\u00a0democracy!<\/p>\n Rather what is being served is the war-profiting of\u00a0a corporatist state by\u00a0a national tiny minority of\u00a0ignorant and hate-filled politicians who are bought and paid for.<\/p>\n The American regime is implementing more economic sanctions on\u00a0Russia based on absurd fantasies<\/a>. The fantasy that Russia carried out\u00a0a poison-assassination in\u00a0Britain; the fantasy that Russia interferes in\u00a0the US elections; the fantasy that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is a „Hitler figure“ who also controls the US president; the fantasy that Russian news media, like\u00a0Sputnik and RT, are part of\u00a0a fiendish Kremlin plot to\u00a0subvert American society.<\/p>\n How is it possible to\u00a0conduct a civilized dialogue with\u00a0such delusional, paranoid people?<\/p>\n US senators pushing for\u00a0a new round\u00a0of sanctions on\u00a0Russia even gloat about\u00a0their insane belligerence. They whoop and call it „the sanctions bill from\u00a0hell“. One of\u00a0those senators, John McCain, is dying from\u00a0brain cancer. Wouldn’t McCain be better off\u00a0thinking about\u00a0his Maker and trying to\u00a0leave this world with\u00a0a modicum of\u00a0peace? No, it seems.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n McCain like\u00a0the other American lawmakers is so filled with\u00a0hatred and ignorance he seems to\u00a0want to\u00a0end the entire world along\u00a0with his miserable life.<\/p>\n Make no mistake, what the American Congress is proposing is nothing short of\u00a0economic warfare with\u00a0Russia, if this new round\u00a0of sanctions go into\u00a0effect. Which seems very likely given the climate of\u00a0hysteria and Russophobia that the American politicians and their servile corporatist media have generated with\u00a0their anti-Russia fantasies.<\/p>\n Isn’t it a crying shame that so many urgent social needs in\u00a0America are being neglected? Poverty is at\u00a0all-time highs. Children being killed from\u00a0drugs and gun crime. Millions of\u00a0Americans go to\u00a0bed every night hungry. Workers live in\u00a0cars in\u00a0parking lots outside\u00a0their workplaces. Young people can’t get an education unless they become debt-slaves for\u00a0the rest of\u00a0their lives.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The natural environment too is going to\u00a0hell. California’s wildfires are emblematic of\u00a0a nation that is burning down\u00a0from its own odious failures and injustices.<\/p>\n Yet, in\u00a0spite of\u00a0these urgent unattended needs, the whole energy of\u00a0the nation is being directed towards\u00a0belligerence with\u00a0Russia. Not just Russia, but\u00a0several other countries. China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Turkey, Syria, and on\u00a0and on. What is it about\u00a0the American regime that it is compelled to\u00a0wage war with\u00a0everyone on\u00a0the planet?<\/p>\n Instead of\u00a0attending to\u00a0the basic human needs of\u00a0its own people.<\/p>\n Of course, that is a naive question. How else could it be when the American regime is a corporatist oligarchy whose purpose and function is to\u00a0satisfy a wealthy elite and their political flunkies.<\/p>\n If the insane and ignorant politicians of\u00a0the US regime get their way, the sanctions on\u00a0Russia they are ratcheting up\u00a0will bring the confrontation to\u00a0a whole new and dangerous level. For these „sanctions from\u00a0hell“ are deliberately formulated in\u00a0order to\u00a0attack the core of\u00a0the Russian economy. The crazed American lawmakers actually declare that they want to „crush Russia“ by\u00a0sabotaging the country’s banking system and its freedom to\u00a0do business with\u00a0the rest of\u00a0the world.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n
