{"id":33009,"date":"2021-01-03T21:19:19","date_gmt":"2021-01-03T19:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/norkhosq.net\/?p=33009"},"modified":"2021-01-03T21:20:43","modified_gmt":"2021-01-03T19:20:43","slug":"turkey-takes-charge-of-natos-very-high-readiness-joint-task-force-as-it-confirms-russian-arms-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norkhosq.net\/?p=33009","title":{"rendered":"Turkey takes charge of NATO\u2019s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force as it confirms Russian arms deal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Jan 2, 2021, By <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jihadwatch.org\/author\/christine-williams\" target=\"_blank\">Christine Douglass-Williams<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Rather than Islamic supremacist Turkey getting booted out of NATO, it is taking over from Poland to lead NATO\u2019s military Very High Readiness Joint Task Force for 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The move is highly questionable, given Turkey\u2019s overt ambition of rebuilding the Ottoman Empire, its constant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jihadwatch.org\/2020\/09\/greece-bolstering-its-military-amid-turkeys-provocative-statements-and-near-daily-threats-of-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bullying and threats<\/a> of war with Greece, its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jihadwatch.org\/2020\/11\/turkey-and-qatar-vow-to-work-together-to-combat-the-escalation-of-the-wave-of-islamophobia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alliance<\/a> with Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood, and its interference in Libya to establish the Muslim Brotherhood there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The NATO news comes at the same time as news of Turkey\u2019s arms deal with Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In mid-December, the Trump administration<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jihadwatch.org\/2020\/12\/trump-administration-slaps-sanctions-on-turkey-over-purchase-of-russian-s-400-missile-system\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> slapped sanctions<\/a> on Turkey over its purchase of the Russian S-400 missile system.
