Nurlan Ibrahimov darf nie wieder an »fußballerischen Aktivitäten« der Uefa teilnehmen. Der Pressesprecher des aserbaidschanischen Klubs Qarabag Agdam hatte in den sozialen Medien zu Gewalt gegenüber Armeniern aufgerufen.
Die Europäische Fußball-Union (Uefa) hat Nurlan Ibrahimov vom aserbaidschanischen Meister Qarabag Agdam lebenslang für »alle fußballerischen Aktivitäten« gesperrt. Die Kontroll-, Ethik- und Disziplinarkammer sei zu diesem Urteil gekommen, heißt es in einer Mitteilung der Uefa.
Darüber hinaus wurde gegen den Verein, bei dem Ibrahimov als Pressechef arbeitet, eine Geldstrafe in Höhe von 100.000 Euro verhängt. Die Uefa will sich demnach auch beim Weltverband Fifa dafür stark machen, dass der Ausschluss Ibrahimovs weltweit verhängt wird. Mit der Entscheidung wurde ein vorläufiges Urteil von Anfang November bestätigt.
Ibrahimov hatte in den sozialen Medien zur Tötung von Armeniern aufgerufen. Der armenische Fußballverband hatte Beschwerde eingereicht und einen Ausschluss des Klubs aus dem europäischen Wettbewerb gefordert.

Following the opening of a disciplinary investigation conducted by an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector regarding the statements made on social media by the then Qarabağ FK official, Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has taken the following decision on 25 November 2020:
Charges against Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov:
– Incidents of a non-sporting nature – Article 11 (2) (b) in connection with Art. 11 (1) DR
– Racist behaviour – Article 14 (1) DR
Charges against Qarabağ FK:
– Incidents of a non-sporting nature – Article 11 (2) (b) in connection with Art. 11 (1) DR
– Racist behaviour – Article 14 (1) DR
Decision:
The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:
– to ban Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov, Qarabağ FK official (i.e. press officer) at the time of the relevant facts, from exercising any football-related activity for life from the date when he was provisionally banned (i.e. 3 November 2020), for the violation of Articles 11 (2) (b) and 14 (1) DR;
– to request FIFA to extend worldwide the above-mentioned life ban;
– to fine Qarabağ FK €100,000 for the violation of Art. 11 (2) (b) and Art. 14(1) DR.
